Luke Perry, best known for his portrayal of Dylan McKay on the hit 90' s show Beverly Hills 90210, died today at the age of 52.

Perry suffered a massive stroke just last week at his home in Sherman Oaks, California, which lead to him being hospitalized up until Monday, when he tragically passed away.

Perry rep addressed the news, " Actor Luke Perry, 52, passed away today after suffering a massive stroke. He was surrounded by his children Jack and Sophie, fiance Wendy Madison Bauer, ex-wife, Minnie Sharp, mother Ann Bennett, step-father Steve Bennett, brother Tom Perry, sister Amy Coder, and other close family and friends. The family appreciates the outpouring of support and prayers that have been extended to Luke from around the world, and respectfully request privacy in this time of great mourning. No further details will be released at this time."

Perry apparently passed away in the hospital where he was being treated, where doctors had been keeping him sedated in the hopes of restricting any further brain damage caused by the stroke. Unfortunately, for all their effort, the doctors were unable to save him.

Luke Perry will always be fondly remembered for his role in Beverly 90210, but can currenty be seen in both the CW Series Riverdale, and in Netflix's series Archie.
